It’s a big day here at Hope, we’re going to be wrapping up Christmas and putting a little bit of a bow on it, we’re going to be looking ahead into the new years, and we’re starting a major sermon series going Sunday by Sunday through the book of John. It’s a big day at Hope, and we’ve got a much bigger text. We’re starting at the beginning of John, I’ll ask you to revel in these words with me.

John 1:1-5, 14

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
